Aric Chen: Writer

Aric is a freelance architecture, design, art, and travel writer based in New York. He is currently a contributing editor for I.D., Surface, Interior Design, and Spoon magazines, and also writes for Art + Auction, GQ, The New York Times, T: The New York Times Style Magazine, Metropolis, Paper, and others. In addition, he writes a monthly column for the website Hintmag.com. He has co-edited, written, or contributed essays to several books on design and art and, in 2004, co-curated the American section of the International Design Biennale in Saint-Etienne, France, which traveled to New York's Center for Architecture in 2005. Born and raised in Chicago, Aric received a BA in architecture and a BA in cultural anthropology from the University of California at Berkeley, and an MA in the history of decorative arts and design offered jointly by the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum and Parsons School of Design.

Graham Hill: Designpreneur And Founder of Treehugger

Before founding Treehugger with the goal of helping to push sustainability into the mainstream, Graham's entrepreneurial endeavors included forays into fashion, web-development, viral email, and plant-based air filters. In 1995, he started and grew the web-developer, Sitewerks, to 60 people doing work for large companies including Microsoft. He currently focuses on building TreeHugger, managing his ceramic Greek cup business, and developing sustainable prototypes. Graham is a dedicated traveler and visited over 40 countries in 2006. He speaks English, French, German, and Spanish. He loves squash, swimming, snowboarding, mountain-biking and most other sports. Originally from the small town of Sutton, Quebec, Canada, Graham has a Bachelor of Architecture with distinction from Carleton University in Ottawa and did advanced studies in Industrial Design at E.C.I.A.D, Vancouver.

Kimberly Oliver: Design Publicist/Marketing Consultant

As the principal of AmericanSuccessMachinery, Kimberly works with both emerging and established designers and retailers to strategically raise awareness of their businesses. Kimberly has been in the furniture industry since the early 1990's, when a job at an architecture firm in San Francisco led to a marketing role for a Herman Miller dealer (where she fell deeply in love with the work of Charles and Ray Eames). In 2002, Kimberly moved to New York for the launch of Vitra's retail presence, and then spent two years with Design Within Reach before launching AmericanSuccessMachinery in September 2005. She publicized Joint Venture and Living Spaces in 2004, and produced Joint Venture 2005 and Firstop: Williamsburg Public in 2006. Currently she is producing for Design Within Reach while still working independently with designers. Her clients have recently appeared in The New York Times, New York Magazine, The LA Times, Surface, Time Out New York, Cargo, and Metropolitan Home, among others. Kimberly was born and raised in rural Maine, and has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Vassar College.
